The Research Assistance Nucleus (NAPq) is the entity linked to the Dean’s Office that connects the School of Veterinary Medicine with the Research Vice-President of the UFMG and research funding institutions.
NAPq regulates and controls the scientific initiation in the School, announces research openings, records scientific initiation scholarships and controls reports of research carried out in these projects. It also coordinates a voluntary scientific initiation program, the first institutionalized in UFMG, which enables students to participate voluntarily in research with the same rights and duties of research fellows.
The presentation of work carried out in the school during the Knowledge Week of UFMG is also organized by NAPq, which also manages the Research Initiation Group, which holds lectures for scientific initiation students on issues related to this area, such as writing up reports and presenting results.
