Bulletins of new acquisitions
Acquisitions are listed (term papers, dissertations and theses, videotapes,   CD-ROMs) received by the library through purchase or donation. 
 
 



Source cataloguing

This involves filling out a form with information taken from the books, theses and regular publications of the School of Veterinary Medicine of UFMG.




Bibliographic Commutation
Comut (Bibliographic Commutation Program) is a service which makes it possible to obtain copies of technical and scientific documents published in magazines, theses, conference proceedings, from collections in the main Brazilian libraries.

Local consultation

The user may consult the collection of the Library, which has adequate facilities for study, and use computers for research in databases. 




Home loans

Permitted for UFMG users regularly enrolled in the Library System and bearing reader's card. (user regulation and guide).




Loans between libraries

The library provides loans between libraries of its works (books, dissertations and theses) for institutions registered in the UFMG Library System (registration should be requested from the Department of Planning and Development of the University Library - email: dpd@bu.ufmg.br).




Bibliographic survey
Service which recovers existing information on a given subject from databases, at request of user.
 
This activity should be scheduled ahead of time.
 



Guidance on bibliographical norms

Guidance provided on drawing up bibliographical references and hints for correct use of norms in technical and scientific papers, according to ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Norms).




Bibliographic survey

Provides access to bibliographic databases of national and foreign journals (Capes Journals Portal) by the user him/herself under the guidance of the librarian of the Reference Sector.




Guided Visits

The Reference Sector provides guided visits for users to get to know the facilities, the resources of the library, as well as norms and procedures in the use of the library.
